And so it returns! We are proud to announce, in collaboration with South West Silents, the very tasty return of the wonder that is the Friese-Greene beer! Both companies have joined forces to bring back this very special beer back to the Bristol area for the autumn season. The beer is in celebration one of the great film pioneers of British Cinema and one of Bristol’s least celebrated sons: William Friese-Greene.
Brewed using ‘Olicana’; a new British hop developed by hop merchants Charles Faram of Malvern that brings New World-style tropical intensity of flavours.
Fruit flavours and aromas, including mango, grapefruit, and passionfruit.
Complex bitterness with citrus and tropical fruit.
The name of the hop variety relates to a Roman fort believed to have been established in the West Yorkshire town of Ilkley.
